Selwyn church, following
the relocation in 1928 of the original Church of the Holy
Trinity (1863) from Otahuhu to Mangere East, marked the emergence
of a new and important community within Auckland. Its
design, scale and spire, although modified from the original
form are distinct, creating an important local and regional
landmark.
