bruce mclaren garage

This two-storey building constructed in 1926 was designed by E. Rupert Morton as a motor vehicle service station and workshop with self-contained apartments on the first floor.  The lease of the service station and garage was purchased by Les McLaren (the father of the automotive racing legend Bruce McLaren) and Bruce later became part owner until his untimely death in 1970.
